On his
prints Aleksandar Zaric represents outer reality of forms, which were made
as a result of the expressed creative attitude and as a consequence of the
absolute concentration on the phenomenon of the existence related to the
notion of the being, equally for its physical and psychical dimension. In
the word of his prints he tries to resurrect the whole sum of inner
tensions reaching to the surface of the character, lingering above all on
the heads which become individual entity independent of the body. These
are portraits of imaginary or real persons of deformed forms in agony,
reminding of the split and warning about the wholeness of the being which
existed once. The perturbation of characters is emphasized by pop art
colouristic accentuation of the background against the monochromes of the
central motif. Placed as big posters, lined by letters and numbers, the
heads testify in sound and sight about the repressed fear, subconscious
entangling of harmonious and disharmonious, sensitive and beyond senses, thoughtful and mindless. In further attempts to reach inner and outer balance, the author creates figures which are provocatively displaced into the context of unreal. The body is deprived of any expression of sexuality, and on the relation inside-outside the only thing left is the ambivalent of sexuality, and on the relation inside-outside the only thing left is the ambivalent mass which concentrates and materializes in itself the whole energy of stokes. The gesture here is not in the function of movement, it is in function of the inner, expressive transformation. Sometimes deep and forceful line transgresses suddenly into the sensitive rhythms and it seems to pulsate through the dominant human structures of the anonymous. In the composition scheme the body forms are not directed towards the centre of the format and are constantly gravitating to polarization within itself. By art treatment of the intimate experience of the world, which is based on the figures nostalgically placed in the area of childhood, the graphic artist points to different projections imbalance. By combining the techniques of deep print Zaric demonstrates superiority of knowledge of media finesses successfully integrating the concept of ideas and technical realizations. The very fact that it is printed, that it is engraved, that the trace is left in the permanent matter, enabled the author to free his prints of literary seduction and using the purely artistic and graphical tools to create deep plots going on in the conflict of expressive lines on relation of black and white plans. Avoiding accepting easily to slip on the surface of the creative problem and to get lost in the area inertia of repetition, Aleksandar Zaric created prints of great volume, balanced in the idealistic and linguistic concentration, which can be read as authentic expression of time and space outside and inside us. |
